“Winter Ruler (mid-20th century)
Lineikas – multi-passenger open carriages on wheels (in summer) or skids (in winter), with longitudinal seats for passengers. These were the earliest type of public urban transport in Moscow. They were introduced in the 1840s and ran on specific routes from the city center to markets, outposts, and suburbs. The lines existed on the city outskirts until 1917.”
